On 21 October, the European Commission proposed targeted changes to the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). These adjustments aim to make the rollout smoother without changing the regulation’s overall goals.

Key points from the proposal:

The 30 December 2025 compliance deadline for large and medium operators remains unchanged.
Small and micro primary producers (such as farmers and foresters) may receive an extension until 30 December 2026.
A transition period from January to June 2026 is planned for large and medium companies, giving them time to adapt before formal checks and penalties begin.
New, simplified obligations are introduced for two groups: small and micro primary producers, and downstream operators (e.g. manufacturers, retailers).

On the 30th of November the KVK Innovation Top 100 was announced. This year was the first year we could be nominated and we’re very proud to announce we’ve reached position 7. Our platform was launched 1,5 years ago and this is an amazing milestone already.

With our platform we enable SMEs to measure, analyze, reduce and remove their carbon footprint in just a few weeks. It’s reassuring that this is recognized by the KVK.

Let’s look into what the KVK Innovation Top 100 is and how they make up the list.

What is the KVK Innovation top 100?

The KVK Innovation Top 100 is a list of the 100 most innovative companies in the Netherlands. Every year the Dutch Chamber of Commerce presents an overview of successful innovative SMEs.

Inclusion in this list is a recognition of a company's innovative capabilities and forward-looking approach. A variety of innovative businesses are honored for their achievements, highlighting the robust and dynamic nature of the Dutch business landscape.

A new ranking is compiled by expert panels and a jury, assessing innovations based on three criteria:

Originality
Impact on society
Availability

We would like to congratulate all companies that appeared in the 2023 KvK list, in particular Ferr-Tech for being awarded the coveted number one position.

Innovation at Coolset
