Supply chain traceability

Supply chain traceability is a key requirement under the EUDR which ensures that each relevant commodity must be traceable back to its source.

Under the EUDR, traceability means companies must collect and verify geolocation coordinates for every plot of land where regulated commodities were produced. This applies to seven commodity groups: cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya, and wood. The traceability requirement extends throughout the entire supply chain, from the point of production to the final product placed on the EU market. Companies must maintain this data in their due diligence systems and make it available to competent authorities upon request.
