Coolset, the ESG operating system for mid-market companies, has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type 2 audit, validating the effectiveness of its data security and operational controls over time. This milestone confirms that Coolset’s platform meets rigorous standards for safeguarding ESG data, ensuring availability, confidentiality, and integrity across a multi-month assessment period.
The audit, conducted by Prescient Assurance LLC, reviewed Coolset’s system and internal controls from January 1 to April 1, 2025, and issued an unqualified opinion. This means the controls were not only properly designed but also operated effectively throughout the evaluation period, in line with the AICPA’s Trust Services Criteria.
“SOC 2 Type 2 is the gold standard for SaaS trust,” said Konstantinos Kouzelis, Coolset CEO. “It proves that we put secure processes in place and follow through on them, consistently. That’s critical for customers who rely on us to process ESG data tied to regulatory, financial and reputational risk.”
This certification demonstrates Coolset’s ongoing commitment to supporting compliance-driven organizations preparing for frameworks like CSRD, EU Taxonomy, EUDR and CBAM. As ESG and carbon data becomes increasingly critical to audit readiness and stakeholder transparency, SOC 2 Type 2 compliance gives CFOs, sustainability leads, and procurement teams confidence that Coolset’s infrastructure is built to handle their most sensitive reporting needs.
