Disclaimer: New EUDR developments - December 2025
In November 2025, the European Parliament and Council backed key changes to the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), including a 12‑month enforcement delay and simplified obligations based on company size and supply chain role.

These updates are not yet legally binding. A final text will be confirmed through trilogue negotiations and formal publication in the EU’s Official Journal. Until then, the current EUDR regulation and deadlines remain in force.

Coolset, a Dutch leader in ESG and supply chain compliance software, has launched its EUDR module - a structured solution designed to help operators and traders meet the requirements of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) before enforcement begins in late 2025.
The EUDR introduces strict obligations for companies placing forest-risk products on the EU market. By 30 December 2025 (for operators and large traders) and 30 June 2026 (for SME traders), businesses must submit a Due Diligence Statement (DDS) for every shipment, proving legality, traceability and deforestation-free origin.
Unlike reporting-focused frameworks like CSRD or EU Taxonomy, EUDR is enforced at the border. A single missed DDS can block shipments, delay orders, and expose businesses to audits, hefty fines and reputational risk.
Yet many mid-sized importers and distributors are still relying on spreadsheets, email chains and fragile documentation. For teams already stretched across procurement, logistics and compliance, it’s tough to keep up.
Coolset’s EUDR module gives companies a complete, auditable workflow to stay compliant without slowing down operations. Every step - from supplier outreach to TRACES submission - is designed to reduce delays, eliminate rework and fit into existing systems.
With Coolset, companies can:

Coolset is purpose-built for companies with distributed supplier networks and fast-moving operations, where there’s no room for delays, manual error, or uncertainty about compliance.
With Coolset, companies benefit from:
Coolset integrates directly with ERP systems and spreadsheets, so teams can start working without changing how they operate.
Any supplier can submit required data at no cost, including n-tier vendors who are often the hardest to engage.
Detect deforestation proactively with built-in Sentinel-2 imagery and Continuous Change Detection (CCDC), without needing GIS expertise.
Verified documentation with explainable AI, with the option to layer in human review through global audit partners for added assurance.
Coolset is built for the cross-functional nature of EUDR, where procurement, quality and compliance teams all need to work in sync.
“With Coolset, every team gets what they need. Compliance teams work in structured, audit-ready workflows, while supply chain and quality teams gain access to traceability tools, verifiable sourcing records, and transparent risk assessments,” says Konstantinos Kouzelis, Coolset CEO.
